We met at Optimist Park/creek in Indianhead neighborhood.

Welcome new Sketchcrawlers, Jennifer H. and Kenz H.:
we didn't see the Beaver, but enjoyed the pond, mudworks and
the shady path along the creek with gullies and fantastic trees and roots.
We started off with a longish draw at the Beaver pond, then we moved in the sketchcrawl tradition.
Some people predicted rain early in the day, but I guess we were spread out over the park. Not a drop of rain hit my sketches. From 9-5:30 the weather was cool and comfortable, with sunshine in the late afternoon. I guess our Optimism about the weather really paid off!
