50th World-wide sketchcrawl Jan, 23rd, 2016 at the Tallahassee Museum:
20 people checked in on Saturday, enjoying the warmth of the woodstove at the plantation kitchen house (soup and cookies baked in the woodstove, thanks to Judy and her friend), and the sweltering hot Discovery Center (with live/baby critters and fossil/skull collections). Outside we cooled off and watched Laura train the mules, and the cow literally capering like a deer at the end of a great day!
I'll add more images as they are emailed to me...

The Tallahassee World Wide Sketchcrawlers meet at the Tallahassee Museum for sketching occasionally. This huge  park-like environment features spacious natural habitats for varieties of mostly local wild animals, mostly in rehab or unable to survive in the wild. Many of these wonderful animals have been rescued or are in need of special/medical care provided by expert staff and volunteers.
The museum grounds also feature many original historic buildings moved here from other locations including the Princess Murat's home, a church and schoolhouse. Miles of trails punctuated by sculptures take you through natural wetlands . A farm with beautiful domesticated animals is maintained by staff and volunteers. Specialists in costume demonstrate the old ways of life and share their deep historical knowledge.
All year we enjoy the various exhibits and activities of the museum galleries. The Education Director Natasha Hartsfield has been a great help to sketchcrawl. Curators Linda Deaton and Sarah Wagoner have honored us with exhibits. Thank you, Museum staff!
